Kerry Barry grew up in the entertainment industry. His father, Dave Barry, performed in Las Vegas showrooms as a comedy star where he headlined the Desert Inn revues “Hello America” and “Hooray for Hollywood” and played Beinstock, the band manager, in Billy Wilder’s "Some Like It Hot". He showed Kerry the ropes and introduced him to directors such as Michael O’Herlihy and Ted Post. His favorite memory of growing up in the business is doing voices on the radio with his dad when he was five years old. Kerry was shaped by the great talents around him in his formative years, including Frank Sinatra, Spencer Tracy, Gregory Peck, Barbara Rush and Rob Reiner.
Kerry began with costar roles on Mr. Novak (NBC), Gidget (ABC) and Peyton Place (ABC), and film work in George Stevens’ The Greatest Story Ever Told and American International Pictures’ Beach Party films. After many years building a business career, he is back and working: he recently played a sales rep in Michelle Danner’s romantic comedy Starstruck, with Alice Eve, Billy Zane and Catherine Bell.
